The groups which include the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign state of Biafra (MASSOB), Eastern Peoples Congress (EPC), Igbo Youth Cultural and Restoration Initiative (IYCRI), Bilie Human Rights Initiative (BHRI), Movement of Biafrans in Nigeria (MOBIN), Biafran National Liberation Council (BNLC), Biafran Revolutionary Organisation (BRO), Biafran Liberation Crusade (BLC), Joint Revolutionary Council of Biafra (JRCB), Biafra Revolutionary Force (BRF), Customary Government of Biafra (CGB), Biafran Central Council (BCC), Biafran United Liberation Council (BULCO) and Biafra Intervention Project (BIP) insisted on a more eloquent and interactive commemoration anniversary where the members and people of Biafra will interface and reflect soberly on the real issues concerning Biafra emancipation. Biafra Nations Youth League (BNYL) has stated that it will continue to hunt for the killers of late pro-Biafra Prophet, Anthony Nwoko, Concise News reports. The group, in a statement on Wednesday, signed by its Acting Leader and Head of Operations, Ebuta Victor Takon, claims the killers of the prophet were six in number and vows to track them down. BNYL was reacting to the recent statement from the indicted Chief Security of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Enugu chapter, Victor Egede, who denied involvement in the killing. The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu has suggested that Africans are still mentally enslaved and wondered why it has remained so. The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has said all it’s family units outside Biafraland in over 88 countries and territories around the world would take part in street demonstrations, rallies, lectures and prayers to remember its fallen heroes and heroines on May 30. Concise News reports that the group said while there would be total lockdown where there would be no school, market, vehicular and human movements in all the Biafraland, including the Middle Belt, Southern Kaduna and some South West states, other Biafrans outside the country would organize rallies and demonstrations. The Anambra State police command has urged residents to disregard an order by the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) asking people not to come out for any business activities on 30 May 2019. The Police added that IPOB remained proscribed and all its activities are illegal. Concise News reports that Kanu revealed his intentions via a tweet on Wednesday, May 15. A group, the Biafra Nations Youth League (BNYL) on Thursday lampooned the presidency for comparing Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association (MACBAN) with the Igbo and Yoruba socio-political organisations, Ohanaeze Ndigbo and Afenifere.
